'Three-Hundred Twenty-First, Today' by Ravyn LaRue

I’m not a competitive asshole.

It’s just-

I can’t resist a challenge, dear.

And you, in all your magnificence, are just asking to be toppled over.

No malice about it, I just want to be the one to try.

And it’s innocent, since even at my best, even if I win-

I’ll be standing smugly in your dumb old shadow.

Besides, it’ll be good of me to at least try to catch up.
